The new generation of Fissler pressure cookers

It was more than 55 years ago that the Fissler product developers first won the hearts of homemakers with the vitavit® pressure cooker. But times have changed. In contrast to those days, many women are employed outside of the home now, managing to take care of their job and their family at the same time. It is rare that they have much time to spend in the kitchen, but they still want to prepare healthy and interesting meals. For quickly preparing delicious dishes while preserving vitamins, pressure cookers are just as popular today as they were back then. And the innovative models vitavit® comfort and vitavit® premium have now set new standards in ease of use and design.

Easier to operate
Fissler has a very simple rule for ensuring that cooking is enjoyable: The cookware and accessories must be easy to use – especially the pressure cooker. And this is why the two new models have been equipped with a number of ingenious features. The new traffic light system, for example, makes it very simple to control the cooking process. Yellow shows that the right temperature will soon be reached and it is time to turn down the stove. Green indicates that the selected cooking level has been reached. Red warns you that the temperature is too high. The new positioning aid helps you to place the lid on the cooker in exactly the right place. And an audible “click” and a color signal in the handle tell you that the cooker has been closed correctly and is ready to begin its work. Thanks to the removable lid handle and control valve, the cookers are easy to clean. If you need more than one new pressure cooker, there is no need to worry about storage space. With their conical shape, the new models can be easily stacked. Both the vitavit® comfort and the vitavit® premium are equipped with the time-tested CookStar all-stove base and thus can be used on all conventional stove types, even for induction cooking.

More design
Kitchens are becoming more beautiful and more functional from year to year. So it was high time for pressure cookers to also undergo a “facelift.” Instead of the classic, rounded shape and utilitarian look, the two new models have been ergonomically optimized and given surprisingly clear-cut, modern lines. Just the same, familiar stylistic components, such as the control valve, make them quickly recognizable as Fissler products. Despite the numerous new extras, the designers have succeeded in producing a minimalistic look with clear-cut lines.

vitavit® comfort

The vitavit® comfort can be used as easily by pressure cooker beginners as by professional cooks. Its two cooking settings make it possible to cook at the level that is right for the ingredients you are using, thus preserving their vitamins to a large extent. The gentle setting is for delicate foods like fish or vegetables. With the speed setting, soups, stews and meats are finished in practically no time. The solid plastic handle of the vitavit® comfort is ergonomically designed and comfortable to hold.

vitavit® premium
In addition to the two cooking levels, the vitavit® premium offers cooks an additional new steaming feature for preparing special dishes. It works completely without pressure and is thus ideal for cooks who can’t resist lifting the lid. You can take a look, stir and season at any time. The depressurizing setting is another practical feature. With adjustable depressurizing on the control valve, manually activating the slide on the handle is no longer necessary. The comfortable safety handle makes it easy and safe to move the cooker – even if it is full.

As of May 2009, artists in the kitchen can concentrate totally on the most important thing: fast, healthy and delicious cooking. The vitavit® comfort and vitavit® premium models will then be available in retail stores.
